Escrow & Security

We prioritize the financial security of both buyers and sellers in every transaction. All payments and domain transfers are handled through verified, industry-standard secure methods.

Transaction Methods

The exact transaction method depends on the specific domain, the size of the transaction, and the preferences of the parties involved. We generally use one of two secure models:

Independent Escrow Providers

For high-value or custom acquisitions, we utilize licensed, independent escrow providers. The buyer sends funds to the escrow service, which holds the money securely. The seller is then instructed to transfer the domain. Once the buyer confirms receipt of the domain, the escrow service releases the funds to the seller.

Registrar Marketplaces

For some portfolio domains, we utilize established domain registrar marketplaces (such as Afternic, Sedo, or GoDaddy). These platforms act as the trusted intermediary, processing the payment and automatically pushing the domain to your account in a unified, secure flow.

Fraud Prevention & Guidance

  • Verify Instructions: Always verify transaction instructions directly through the official escrow provider's platform or the registrar's official website before sending any funds.
  • No Passwords Needed: Garqo will never ask for your registrar account password. Domain transfers are authorized using EPP transfer codes or intra-registrar "pushes" that do not require us to log into your account.
  • Official Communications: Ensure all emails regarding payment or transfer come from our official @garqo.com domain or directly from the verified escrow provider.
